Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or does it benefit him that you make your ways perfect?

你為人有正義、全能者哪能有興趣呢？你的行徑純全、哪能使他得利呢？

爾為公義、豈全能者之樂乎、爾行完全、豈為其利乎、

蓋全能之主、不因爾之為善行義、而福祉喜樂、有所加增也。

爾行義與全能之主何益、爾道全善、豈能使天主得利、

What pleasure would it give the Almighty if you were righteous? What would he gain if your ways were blameless?

Job, what pleasure would it give the Mighty One if you were right? What would he get if you were completely honest?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are in the right, or is it gain to him if you make your ways blameless?

Is it any advantage to the Almighty if you are righteous? Would it be any gain to him if you were perfect?

Does it delight the Almighty if you are righteous? Does he profit if you perfect your behavior?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are righteous, Or gain if you make your ways blameless?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or is it gain to Him that you make your ways blameless?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? Or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

Does it delight the Almighty if you are righteous? Does He profit if you perfect your behavior?

[ Is it] any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or[ is it] gain[ to him], that thou makest thy ways perfect?

Is it of any special benefit to the Almighty that you should be righteous, or is it any gain to him that you make your ways blameless?

You have wearied Yahweh with your words. Yet you say,‘ How have we wearied him?’ In that you say,‘ Everyone who does evil is good in Yahweh’s sight, and he delights in them;’ or‘ Where is the God of justice?’

He doesn’t delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

Yes, they do nothing wrong. They walk in his ways.You have commanded your precepts, that we should fully obey them.Oh that my ways were steadfast to obey your statutes!Then I wouldn’t be disappointed, when I consider all of your commandments.

The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

In this I also practice always having a conscience void of offense toward God and men.

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight.

But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away.I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

But I have all things and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet- smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well- pleasing sacrifice to God.

I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.

I considered my ways, and turned my steps to your statutes.

A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.

I said,“ I will watch my ways, so that I don’t sin with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.”

Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Yahweh, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.
