曰、起而敵我者見絕、其餘為火所焚、

我仇見絕、其富有火盡燬之、

曰、我敵見絕、其貲財貲財或作富有火盡燬之、

‘ Surely our foes are destroyed, and fire devours their wealth.’

They say,‘ Our enemies are completely destroyed. Fire has burned up their wealth.’

saying,‘ Surely our adversaries are cut off, and what they left the fire has consumed.’

They will say,‘ See how our enemies have been destroyed. The last of them have been consumed in the fire.’

“ Surely our opponents are destroyed, and fire has consumed what they left behind.”

‘ surely our adversaries are cut down, And the fire consumes their remnant.’

Saying, Surely they that did rise up against us are cut off, And the remnant of them the fire hath consumed.

“ Surely our opponents are destroyed, and fire has consumed what they left behind.”

Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

For your wrongdoing teaches your mouth, And you choose the language of the cunning.Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; And your own lips testify against you.

He will not escape from darkness; The flame will dry up his shoot, And he will go away by the breath of His mouth.

Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?If your sons sinned against Him, Then He turned them over to the power of their wrongdoing.

“ Remember now, who ever perished being innocent? Or where were the upright destroyed?

He returns the product of his labor And cannot swallow it; As to the riches of his trading, He cannot even enjoy them.For he has oppressed and neglected the poor; He has seized a house which he has not built.

Complete darkness is held in reserve for his treasures, And unfanned fire will devour him; It will consume the survivor in his tent.

but on the day that Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
