曰、起而敵我者見絕、其餘為火所焚、

我仇見絕、其富有火盡燬之、

曰、我敵見絕、其貲財貲財或作富有火盡燬之、

‘ Surely our foes are destroyed, and fire devours their wealth.’

They say,‘ Our enemies are completely destroyed. Fire has burned up their wealth.’

They will say,‘ See how our enemies have been destroyed. The last of them have been consumed in the fire.’

“ Surely our opponents are destroyed, and fire has consumed what they left behind.”

‘ Truly our enemies are eliminated, And fire has consumed their abundance.’

‘ surely our adversaries are cut down, And the fire consumes their remnant.’

Saying, Surely they that did rise up against us are cut off, And the remnant of them the fire hath consumed.

Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

he will not depart from darkness; the flame will dry up his shoots, and by the breath of his mouth he will depart.

Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the Lord out of heaven.

Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert the right?If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their transgression.

“ Remember: who that was innocent ever perished? Or where were the upright cut off?

He will give back the fruit of his toil and will not swallow it down; from the profit of his trading he will get no enjoyment.For he has crushed and abandoned the poor; he has seized a house that he did not build.

Utter darkness is laid up for his treasures; a fire not fanned will devour him; what is left in his tent will be consumed.

but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all—so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
