Another dies in bitterness of soul, never having enjoyed anything good.

有人至死心中痛苦，终身未尝福乐的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，从未尝过福乐的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，从未尝过福乐的滋味；

有人至死心中苦痛，从未尝过幸福的滋味。

有人到死的时候心里痛苦，一生未尝美食；

有人至死心中痛苦，終身未嘗福樂的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，從未嘗過福樂的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，從未嘗過福樂的滋味；

有人至死心中苦痛，從未嚐過幸福的滋味。

有人到死的時候心裡痛苦，一生未嘗美食；

有人至死心裏愁苦，未曾嘗過福樂。

又有至死、心懷困苦、未嘗享福、

或至死、困苦盈懷、終不享福、

有人至死愁苦、終不享福、

Others die while their spirits are bitter. They’ve never enjoyed anything good.

Another dies in bitterness of soul, never having tasted of prosperity.

Another person dies in bitter poverty, never having tasted the good life.

Yet another person dies with a bitter soul, having never tasted prosperity.

While another dies with a bitter soul, Never even tasting anything good.

Another man dies in the bitterness of his soul, Never having eaten with pleasure.

And another dieth in bitterness of soul, And never tasteth of good.

Yet another person dies with a bitter soul, having never tasted prosperity.

And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.

And another man dies in bitterness of soul, never having tasted anything good.

Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.

“ Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

He then said to me:“ Son of man, I am about to cut off the food supply in Jerusalem. The people will eat rationed food in anxiety and drink rationed water in despair,for food and water will be scarce. They will be appalled at the sight of each other and will waste away because of their sin.

God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil.

“ Why is light given to those in misery, and life to the bitter of soul,

“ As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied,“ I don’t have any bread— only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it— and die.”

“ Son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water.

“ I loathe my very life; therefore I will give free rein to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.

You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs. Besides, your father is an experienced fighter; he will not spend the night with the troops.

But what can I say? He has spoken to me, and he himself has done this. I will walk humbly all my years because of this anguish of my soul.Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.

When he has filled his belly, God will vent his burning anger against him and rain down his blows on him.

He would not let me catch my breath but would overwhelm me with misery.
