Others die while their spirits are bitter. They’ve never enjoyed anything good.

有人至死心中痛苦，终身未尝福乐的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，从未尝过福乐的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，从未尝过福乐的滋味；

有人至死心中苦痛，从未尝过幸福的滋味。

有人到死的时候心里痛苦，一生未尝美食；

有人至死心中痛苦，終身未嘗福樂的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，從未嘗過福樂的滋味；

有人至死心中痛苦，從未嘗過福樂的滋味；

有人至死心中苦痛，從未嚐過幸福的滋味。

有人到死的時候心裡痛苦，一生未嘗美食；

有人至死心裏愁苦，未曾嘗過福樂。

又有至死、心懷困苦、未嘗享福、

或至死、困苦盈懷、終不享福、

有人至死愁苦、終不享福、

Another dies in bitterness of soul, never having enjoyed anything good.

Another dies in bitterness of soul, never having tasted of prosperity.

Another person dies in bitter poverty, never having tasted the good life.

Yet another person dies with a bitter soul, having never tasted prosperity.

While another dies with a bitter soul, Never even tasting anything good.

Another man dies in the bitterness of his soul, Never having eaten with pleasure.

And another dieth in bitterness of soul, And never tasteth of good.

Yet another person dies with a bitter soul, having never tasted prosperity.

And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.

And another man dies in bitterness of soul, never having tasted anything good.

Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.

“ So I won’t keep quiet. When I’m suffering greatly, I’ll speak out. When my spirit is bitter, I’ll tell you how unhappy I am.

He continued,“ Son of man, I am about to cut off the food supply in Jerusalem. The people will be worried as they eat their tiny share of food. They will not have any hope as they drink their tiny share of water.There will be very little food and water. The people will be shocked as they look at one another. They will become weaker and weaker because of their sin.

God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor. They have everything their hearts desire. But God doesn’t let them enjoy those things. Instead, strangers enjoy them. This doesn’t have any meaning. It’s a very evil thing.

“ Why should those who suffer ever be born? Why should life be given to those whose spirits are bitter?

“ I don’t have any bread,” she replied.“ And that’s just as sure as the Lord your God is alive. All I have is a small amount of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I’m gathering a few sticks to take home. I’ll make one last meal for myself and my son. We’ll eat it. After that, we’ll die.”

“ Son of man, tremble with fear as you eat your food. Tremble as you drink your water.

“ I’m sick of living. So I’ll talk openly about my problems. I’ll speak out because my spirit is bitter.

Each heart knows its own sadness. And no one else can share its joy.

You know your father and his men. They are fighters. They are as strong as a wild bear whose cubs have been stolen from her. Besides, your father really knows how to fight. He won’t spend the night with his troops.

“ But what can I say? You have promised to heal me. And you yourself have done it. Once I was proud and bitter. But now I will live the rest of my life free of pride.Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live.I’m sure it was for my benefit that I suffered such great pain. You love me. You kept me from going down into the pit of death. You have put all my sins behind your back.

When they’ve filled their stomachs, God will pour out his great anger on them. He’ll strike them down with blow after blow.

He wouldn’t let me catch my breath. He’d make my life very bitter.
