So the LORD said to Satan,“ All right, he is in your power; only preserve his life.”

永恆主對撒但說：『看哪，他都讓你手擺布；只是他的性命你卻要保存。』

The Lord said to Satan,“ Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”

The Lord said to Satan,“ All right. I am handing him over to you. But you must spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

“ All right, do with him as you please,” the Lord said to Satan.“ But spare his life.”

“ Very well,” the LORD told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

So the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

And Jehovah said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand; only spare his life.

“ Very well,” the Lord told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he[ is] in thine hand; but save his life.

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life.”

So the LORD said to Satan,“ All right then, everything he has is in your power. Only do not extend your hand against the man himself!” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

“ Simon, Simon, pay attention! Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat,but I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Do not be afraid of the things you are about to suffer. The devil is about to have some of you thrown into prison so you may be tested, and you will experience suffering for ten days. Remain faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown that is life itself.

For Jesus had started commanding the evil spirit to come out of the man.( For it had seized him many times, so he would be bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard. But he would break the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.)Jesus then asked him,“ What is your name?” He said,“ Legion,” because many demons had entered him.And they began to beg him not to order them to depart into the abyss.Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside, and the demonic spirits begged Jesus to let them go into them. He gave them permission.So the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd of pigs rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.

when I prescribed its limits, and set in place its bolts and doors,when I said,‘ To here you may come and no farther, here your proud waves will be confined’?

You calm the raging seas and their roaring waves, as well as the commotion made by the nations.

Now when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison

Then I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain.He seized the dragon– the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan– and tied him up for a thousand years.
