我因被屈哀告、不蒙對答、我雖呼號、不得伸冤、

“ Though I cry,‘ Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.

“ I cry out,‘ Someone harmed me!’ But I don’t get any reply. I call out for help. But I’m not treated fairly.

Behold, I cry out,‘ Violence!’ but I am not answered; I call for help, but there is no justice.

“ I cry out,‘ Help!’ but no one answers me. I protest, but there is no justice.

I cry out,“ Violence!” but get no response; I call for help, but there is no justice.

“ If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice.

Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry for help, but there is no justice.

I cry out:“ Violence!” but get no response; I call for help, but there is no justice.

“ If I cry out,‘ Violence!’ I receive no answer; I cry for help, but there is no justice.

“ Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard. I cry for help, but there is no justice.

How long, Lord, have I called for help, And You do not hear? I cry out to You,“ Violence!” Yet You do not save.Why do You make me see disaster, And make me look at destitution? Yes, devastation and violence are before me; Strife exists and contention arises.

Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayer.

I cry out to You for help, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You turn Your attention against me.

Although there is no violence in my hands, And my prayer is pure.“ Earth, do not cover my blood, And may there be no resting place for my cry.Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, And my advocate is on high.

If I am wicked, woe to me! But if I am righteous, I dare not lift up my head. I am full of shame, and conscious of my misery.And should my head be high, You would hunt me like a lion; And You would show Your power against me again.You renew Your witnesses against me And increase Your anger toward me; Hardship after hardship is with me.

For He is not a man, as I am, that I may answer Him— That we may go to court together!

Is it right for You indeed to oppress, To reject the work of Your hands, And to look favorably on the plan of the wicked?

For Job has said,‘ I am righteous, But God has taken away my right;

“ Behold, I know your thoughts, And the plots you devise against me.

My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.

Oh that I knew how to find Him, That I might come to His home!I would present my case before Him And fill my mouth with arguments.I would learn the words which He would answer, And perceive what He would tell me.Would He contend with me by the greatness of His power? No, surely He would pay attention to me.There the upright would argue with Him; And I would be free of my Judge forever.

For each time I speak, I cry aloud; I proclaim violence and destruction, Because for me the word of the Lord has resulted In taunting and derision all day long.

The earth is handed over to the wicked; He covers the faces of its judges. If it is not He, then who is it?

Will you really nullify My judgment? Will you condemn Me so that you may be justified?

Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.This also will be my salvation, For a godless person cannot come before His presence.Listen carefully to my speech, And let my declaration fill your ears.Behold now, I have prepared my case; I know that I will be vindicated.Who could contend with me? For then I would be silent and die.“ Only two things I ask that You do not do to me, Then I will not hide from Your face:Remove Your hand from me, And may the dread of You not terrify me.Then call and I will answer; Or let me speak, then reply to me.How many are my guilty deeds and sins? Make known to me my wrongdoing and my sin.

That one might plead for a man with God As a son of man with his neighbor!

Oh that I had one to hear me! Here is my signature; Let the Almighty answer me! And the indictment which my adversary has written,I would certainly carry it on my shoulder, I would tie it to myself like a garland.
