If I hope for Sheol as my home, I make my bed in the darkness;

我若盼望阴间为我的房屋，若下榻在黑暗中，

我若盼望阴间为我的家，若下榻在黑暗中，

我若期望阴间作我的家园，在黑暗之地铺设我的床榻，

我若等待阴间作我的家，在黑暗中铺张我的床榻；

我若盼望陰間為我的房屋，若下榻在黑暗中，

我若期望陰間作我的家園，在黑暗之地鋪設我的床榻，

我若等待陰間作我的家，在黑暗中鋪張我的床榻；

假使我盼望陰間做我的房屋，假使我在黑暗中展開我的鋪蓋，

我若冀陰府為室、於幽暗下榻、

別無所望、惟以墓為室、長眠地下。

我若所望無他、惟以示阿勒示阿勒見七章九節小註為我之宅、下榻於幽暗中、

If the only home I hope for is the grave, if I spread out my bed in the realm of darkness,

Suppose the only home I can hope for is a grave. And suppose I make my bed in the darkness of death.

If I hope for Sheol as my house, if I make my bed in darkness,

What if I go to the grave and make my bed in darkness?

If I await Sheol as my home, spread out my bed in darkness,

If I wait for the grave as my house, If I make my bed in the darkness,

If I look for Sheol as my house; If I have spread my couch in the darkness;

If I await Sheol as my home, spread out my bed in darkness,

If I wait, the grave[ is] mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.

If I hope for the grave to be my home, if I spread out my bed in darkness,

If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,

“ My spirit is broken, my days are extinguished, The grave is ready for me.

He enters into peace; They rest in their beds, Each one who walked in his upright way.

For I know that You will bring me to death, And to the house of meeting for all living.

Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.

For now I would have lain down and been quiet; I would have slept then, I would have been at rest,

Before I go— and I shall not return— To the land of darkness and deep shadow,The land of utter gloom like darkness itself, Of deep shadow without order, And it shines like darkness.”

If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait Until my relief comes.

The Lord is good to those who await Him, To the person who seeks Him.It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.

If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
