使你的灵反对神，也任你的口发这言语？

以致你的灵反对上帝，你的口说出这样的言语呢？

以致你的灵反对神，你的口说出这样的言语呢？

以致你向上帝发怒，口出恶言？

以致你的心灵转过来抗拒神，从你的口中竟发出这样的话？

使你的靈反對神，也任你的口發這言語？

以致你的靈反對上帝，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你的靈反對神，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你向上帝發怒，口出惡言？

以致你的心靈轉過來抗拒神，從你的口中竟發出這樣的話？

以致你的氣針對着上帝，而讓你的口發出這樣的話語呢？

致爾專心逆上帝、任口出言詞、

心逆上帝、口述妄言。

爾竟向天主發怒、口出妄言、

so that you vent your rage against God and pour out such words from your mouth?

Why do you get so angry with God? Why do words like those pour out of your mouth?

that you turn your spirit against God and bring such words out of your mouth?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

That you can turn your spirit against God And produce such words from your mouth?

That you turn your spirit against God, And let such words go out of your mouth?

That against God thou turnest thy spirit, And lettest words go out of thy mouth?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest[ such] words go out of thy mouth?

when you turn your rage against God and allow such words to escape from your mouth?

That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth.And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong.In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.

For they shake their fists at God, defying the Almighty.Holding their strong shields, they defiantly charge against him.“ These wicked people are heavy and prosperous; their waists bulge with fat.

For God is so wise and so mighty. Who has ever challenged him successfully?

What do you gain by oppressing me? Why do you reject me, the work of your own hands, while smiling on the schemes of the wicked?

Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!

For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

But robbers are left in peace, and those who provoke God live in safety— though God keeps them in his power.

“ You have said terrible things about me,” says the Lord.“ But you say,‘ What do you mean? What have we said against you?’

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
