世人維何、能為潔乎、婦所生者維何、得稱義乎、

斯世之人、何得言潔、婦女所生者、何得稱義。

世人為誰、焉得言潔、由婦而生者為誰、豈得稱義、

Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.

Who can say,“ I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free from sin”?

Who can bring purity out of an impure person? No one!

How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?God is more glorious than the moon; he shines brighter than the stars.In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”

But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one!

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.
