爾為上帝出妄語、言詭詞乎、

爾既明上帝降罰之故、代為剖析、豈可妄辭、豈可譫語、豈可偏視。

爾為天主出妄言乎、為天主出誕語乎、

Will you speak wickedly on God’s behalf? Will you speak deceitfully for him?

Will you say evil things in order to help God? Will you tell lies for him?

Will you speak falsely for God and speak deceitfully for him?

“ Are you defending God with lies? Do you make your dishonest arguments for his sake?

Would you testify unjustly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for him?

Will you speak what is unjust for God, And speak what is deceitful for Him?

Will you speak wickedly for God, And talk deceitfully for Him?

Will ye speak unrighteously for God, And talk deceitfully for him?

Would you testify unjustly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for Him?

For truly my words[ shall] not[ be] false: he that is perfect in knowledge[ is] with thee.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say?[ Is] God unrighteous who taketh vengeance?( I speak as a man)God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?And not[ rather],( as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Remember, I pray thee, who[ ever] perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

He that speaketh flattery to[ his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?For thou hast said, My doctrine[ is] pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.For I know not to give flattering titles;[ in so doing] my maker would soon take me away.
