I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

然我亦有聰明、不亞於爾、所言之事、誰不知之、

我之慧心、與爾何異、爾無能過我、爾所言者、誰不知之。

我亦有才思、才思或作慧心與爾無異、並非不及爾、誰不知爾之所知、誰不知爾之所知或作爾所言者誰不知之

But I have a mind as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know all these things?

But I have a brain, just like you. I’m as clever as you are. In fact, everyone knows as much as you do.

But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

Well, I know a few things myself— and you’re no better than I am. Who doesn’t know these things you’ve been saying?

Can food that is tasteless be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?I have refused to touch such things; they are like loathsome food to me.

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you yourself also be like him.

“ How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the person who has no strength!How you have advised the one without wisdom, and abundantly revealed your insight!

( To my disgrace I must say that we were too weak for that!) But whatever anyone else dares to boast about( I am speaking foolishly), I also dare to boast about the same thing.Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I.Are they servants of Christ?( I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.

For I consider myself not at all inferior to those“ super- apostles.”
