The slave does not remain in the family forever, but the son remains forever.

Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.

A slave has no lasting place in the family. But a son belongs to the family forever.

The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever.

A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.

A slave does not remain in the household forever, but a son does remain forever.

Now the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever.

And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.

And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever: the son abideth for ever.

A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.

So she said to Abraham,“ Banish that slave woman and her son, for the son of that slave woman will not be an heir along with my son Isaac!”

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry,“ Abba, Father.”The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children.And if children, then heirs( namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)– if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights.And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls“ Abba! Father!”So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son, then you are also an heir through God.

But what does the scripture say?“ Throw out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the son” of the free woman.Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.

Then the father said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and everything that belongs to me is yours.

But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it will be his until the year of liberty; then it will revert to the prince. His inheritance will only remain with his sons.

for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

They said to him,“ He will utterly destroy those evil men! Then he will lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his portion at the harvest.”Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the scriptures:‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that would be spoken.But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. We are of his house, if in fact we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope we take pride in.

In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.You will know at that time that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by being set apart by the Spirit for obedience and for sprinkling with Jesus Christ’s blood. May grace and peace be yours in full measure!Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he gave us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,that is, into an inheritance imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. It is reserved in heaven for you,who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.
