“ What sign then are You going to do so we may see and believe You?” they asked.“ What are You going to perform?

他們又說：「你行甚麼神蹟，叫我們看見就信你；你到底做甚麼事呢？

於是他們對他說：「你行甚麼神蹟，好讓我們看見而信你呢？你到底要做甚麼呢？

他們又問：「那麼，你行什麼神蹟讓我們看了可以信你呢？你要做什麼呢？

於是他們對耶穌說：『那麼你行甚麼神迹、叫我們看見來信你呢？你作甚麼工啊？

他們就問：「那麼，你行個什麼神蹟，好讓我們看了就可以信你呢？你可以做什麼呢？

眾曰、爾行何異蹟、使我見而信爾乎、爾何所為乎、

曰、爾行何異跡、使我見而信爾、爾果何以哉、

曰、爾行何異跡、使我見而信爾、爾果何行、

眾曰：『汝有何靈徵、使我見而信之乎？汝亦何所務乎？

So they asked him,“ What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

So they asked him,“ What sign will you give us? What will you do so we can see it and believe you?

So they said to him,“ Then what sign do you do, that we may see and believe you? What work do you perform?

They answered,“ Show us a miraculous sign if you want us to believe in you. What can you do?

“ What sign, then, are you going to do so that we may see and believe you?” they asked.“ What are you going to perform?

So they said to Him,“ What then are You doing as a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work are You performing?

Therefore they said to Him,“ What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?

They said therefore unto him, What then doest thou for a sign, that we may see, and believe thee? what workest thou?

They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

So they said to him,“ Then what miraculous sign will you perform, so that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

They said therefore to him,“ What then do you do for a sign, that we may see and believe you? What work do you do?

Even though He had performed so many signs in their presence, they did not believe in Him.

But if I am doing them and you don’t believe Me, believe the works. This way you will know and understand that the Father is in Me and I in the Father.”

But as I told you, you’ve seen Me, and yet you do not believe.

So the Jews replied to Him,“ What sign of authority will You show us for doing these things?”

For the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks seek wisdom,

for His disciples had gone into town to buy food.

The Pharisees and Sadducees approached, and as a test, asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.He answered them:“ When evening comes you say,‘ It will be good weather because the sky is red.’And in the morning,‘ Today will be stormy because the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to read the appearance of the sky, but you can’t read the signs of the times.An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away.

As the crowds were increasing, He began saying:“ This generation is an evil generation. It demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so also the Son of Man will be to this generation.

He gave a sign that day. He said,“ This is the sign that the Lord has spoken:‘ The altar will now be ripped apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.’”

The Pharisees came out and began to argue with Him, demanding of Him a sign from heaven to test Him.

to those who say:“ Let Him hurry up and do His work quickly so that we can see it! Let the plan of the Holy One of Israel take place so that we can know it!”

The altar was ripped apart, and the ashes poured from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the word of the Lord.

“ If they will not believe you and will not respond to the evidence of the first sign, they may believe the evidence of the second sign.

So the other disciples kept telling him,“ We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ If I don’t see the mark of the nails in His hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will never believe!”After eight days His disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them. He said,“ Peace to you!”Then He said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here and observe My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Don’t be an unbeliever, but a believer.”Thomas responded to Him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus said,“ Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Those who believe without seeing are blessed.”

“ Ask for a sign from the Lord your God— from the depths of Sheol to the heights of heaven.”But Ahaz replied,“ I will not ask. I will not test the Lord.”Isaiah said,“ Listen, house of David! Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men? Will you also try the patience of my God?Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him,“ Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”But He answered them,“ An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

while You stretch out Your hand for healing, signs, and wonders to be performed through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions of gifts from the Holy Spirit according to His will.

Let the Messiah, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe.” Even those who were crucified with Him were taunting Him.
