They said therefore to him,“ What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”

众人问他说：“我们当行什么才算做神的工呢？”

于是他们问他：“我们该做什么才算是做上帝的工作呢？”

于是他们问他：“我们该做什么才算是做神的工作呢？”

众人问祂：“我们要怎样做，才算是做上帝的工作呢？”

众人又问他：“我们应该作什么，才算是作神的工作呢？”

他们问：“我们应该做什么，才算做神的工作呢？”

眾人問他說：「我們當行甚麼才算做神的工呢？」

於是他們問他：「我們該做甚麼才算是做上帝的工作呢？」

於是他們問他：「我們該做甚麼才算是做神的工作呢？」

眾人問祂：「我們要怎樣做，才算是做上帝的工作呢？」

眾人又問他：“我們應該作甚麼，才算是作神的工作呢？”

於是他們對耶穌說：『我們應當行甚麼、來作上帝的工呢？』

他們問：「我們應該做什麼，才算做神的工作呢？」

眾曰、我儕當何為以作上帝之工乎、

眾曰我儕當何為、以稱上帝之事乎、

眾曰、我當何為、以行天主之事乎、

眾問曰：『如之何始可務天主之務？』

Then they asked him,“ What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Then they asked him,“ What does God want from us? What works does he want us to do?”

Then they said to him,“ What must we do, to be doing the works of God?”

They replied,“ We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?”

“ What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.

Therefore they said to Him,“ What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?”

Then they said to Him,“ What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

They said therefore unto him, What must we do, that we may work the works of God?

“ What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

So then they said to him,“ What must we do to accomplish the deeds God requires?”

Go near, and hear all that Yahweh our God shall say, and tell us all that Yahweh our God tells you; and we will hear it, and do it.”

Behold, one came to him and said,“ Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?”

But rise up and enter into the city, then you will be told what you must do.”

brought them out, and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

For you have dealt deceitfully against your own souls; for you sent me to Yahweh your God, saying,‘ Pray for us to Yahweh our God; and according to all that Yahweh our God says, so declare to us, and we will do it.’

that Yahweh your God may show us the way in which we should walk, and the things that we should do.”Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them,“ I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to Yahweh your God according to your words; and it will happen that whatever thing Yahweh answers you, I will declare it to you. I will keep nothing back from you.”Then they said to Jeremiah,“ May Yahweh be a true and faithful witness among us, if we don’t do according to all the word with which Yahweh your God sends you to tell us.Whether it is good, or whether it is bad, we will obey the voice of Yahweh our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of Yahweh our God.”

Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

Will Yahweh be pleased with thousands of rams? With tens of thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my disobedience? The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what shall we do?”
