第三天，在加利利的迦拿有一个婚宴。耶稣的母亲在那里，耶稣和他的门徒们也被邀请赴宴。酒用尽了，耶稣的母亲对他说：“他们没有酒了。”耶稣对她说：“母亲，这与你我有什么关系？我的时候还没有到。”他的母亲对仆人们说：“他吩咐你们什么，你们就做什么。”照犹太人洁净的规矩，有六口石缸摆在那里。每缸可容两三桶水。耶稣对仆人们说：“把这些缸装满水。”他们就装满了，直到缸沿。耶稣又对他们说：“现在舀出来，送去给管宴席的。”他们就送去了。当管宴席的尝了那水变的酒，并不知道这是从哪里来的，只有舀水的那些仆人知道。管宴席的就叫来新郎，对他说：“人人都是先摆上好酒，等宾客喝醉了，才摆上次等的。你却把好酒留到现在！”耶稣在加利利的迦拿行了这头一件神迹，显明了他的荣耀，他的门徒们就信了他。

他杀他们的时候，他们才寻求他，回转过来，切切寻求神。

在患难的日子里，你当呼求我，我必搭救你，而你将荣耀我。”

他们来到众人那里，有一个人来到耶稣面前，跪下来，说：“主啊，可怜我的儿子吧！他患了癫痫病，十分痛苦，经常跌进火里，也经常跌进水里。

因为他有一个约十二岁的独生女儿，快要死了。耶稣去的时候，人群拥挤着他。

耶稣正对他们讲这些事的时候，忽然有一个会堂主管来拜他，说：“我的女儿刚才死了，求你来按手在她身上，她就会活了。”

当时，西门彼得、那叫迪杜马的多马、加利利的迦拿人拿旦业、西庇太的两个儿子、还有他的另外两位门徒，正在一起。

这时候，忽然来了一个住在那地区的迦南妇人，她呼叫说：“主啊，大卫的后裔，可怜我吧！我的女儿有鬼魔附身，痛苦万分。”

有个百夫长所重视的奴仆病得快要死了。
