“ Sir,” the woman said,“ I can see that you are a prophet.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is— that she is a sinner.” (niv)

They were all filled with awe and praised God.“ A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said.“ God has come to help his people.” (niv)

Then they turned again to the blind man,“ What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.” The man replied,“ He is a prophet.” (niv)

After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say,“ Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” (niv)

The crowds answered,“ This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” (niv)

“ What things?” he asked.“ About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.“ He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. (niv)

On hearing his words, some of the people said,“ Surely this man is the Prophet.” (niv)

“ None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers,“ but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.” (niv)

But Elisha said to him,“ Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes— or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves? (niv)

“ Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” (niv)

But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all,as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming,“ God is really among you!” (niv)

“ How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered,“ I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”Then Nathanael declared,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” (niv)
