Don’t marvel that I said to you,‘ You must be born anew.’

You should not be surprised at my saying,‘ You must be born again.’

Do not marvel that I said to you,‘ You must be born again.’

Jesus answered him,“ Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”

that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

There will in no way enter into it anything profane, or one who causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

He spoke another parable to them.“ The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.”Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,“ I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”

Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice,

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well- pleasing, and perfect will of God.

What if God, willing to show his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,and that he might make known the riches of his glory on vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?As he says also in Hosea,“ I will call them‘ my people,’ which were not my people; and her‘ beloved,’ who was not beloved.”

What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord,

But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them,“ Does this cause you to stumble?Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;because it is written,“ You shall be holy; for I am holy.”

If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light,

What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.As it is written,“ There is no one righteous; no, not one.There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.”“ Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit.”“ The poison of vipers is under their lips.”“ Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”“ Their feet are swift to shed blood.Destruction and misery are in their ways.The way of peace, they haven’t known.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
