Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.

You should not be surprised at my saying,‘ You must be born again.’

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

and there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean, or he that maketh an abomination and a lie: but only they that are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.All these things spake Jesus in parables unto the multitudes; and without a parable spake he nothing unto them:that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.

Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,

Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction:and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory,even us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?As he saith also in Hosea, I will call that my people, which was not my people; And her beloved, that was not beloved.

What is man, that he should be clean? And he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said unto them, Doth this cause you to stumble?What then if ye should behold the Son of man ascending where he was before?It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life.

as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance:but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living;because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.

If I told you earthly things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you heavenly things?

giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we before laid to the charge both of Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin;as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one;There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God;They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not so much as one:Their throat is an open sepulchre; With their tongues they have used deceit: The poison of asps is under their lips:Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:Their feet are swift to shed blood;Destruction and misery are in their ways;And the way of peace have they not known:There is no fear of God before their eyes.Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:
