Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

People give birth to people. But the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:—

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;

For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to do that which is good is not.

who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I of myself with the mind, indeed, serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

What is man, that he should be clean? And he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; Yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight:How much less one that is abominable and corrupt, A man that drinketh iniquity like water!
