Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

They hate him that reproveth in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.Forasmuch therefore as ye trample upon the poor, and take exactions from him of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink the wine thereof.

Seeing that thou hatest instruction, And castest my words behind thee?

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah, Micaiah the son of Imlah: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

And one of the lawyers answering saith unto him, Teacher, in saying this thou reproachest us also.

And say, How have I hated instruction, And my heart despised reproof;

A scoffer loveth not to be reproved; He will not go unto the wise.
