“ I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said,“ We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

“ I’m going fishing,” Simon Peter said to them.“ We’re coming with you,” they told him. They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

西门回答说：“老师，我们劳碌了一整夜，什么也没有捕到。不过按照你的话，我就下网吧。”

西门的伙伴，就是西庇太的儿子雅各和约翰，也同样惊讶。耶稣对西门说：“不要怕！从今以后，你将得人了。”他们把两条船靠了岸，舍弃一切跟从了耶稣。

耶稣在加利利湖边行走，看见兄弟两个人，就是那叫彼得的西门和他弟弟安得烈，正在湖里撒网；他们本来是渔夫。耶稣就对他们说：“来跟从我！我将要使你们成为得人的渔夫。”他们立刻舍弃渔网，跟从了耶稣。

所以，除了使之生长的神，那栽种的和那浇灌的都算不得什么。

其实你们自己知道应该怎样效法我们，因为我们在你们那里的时候并没有懒散，也没有白吃过谁的饭。相反，我们辛苦劳碌、日夜做工，免得成为你们任何人的负担。这并不是因为我们没有这权利，而是要亲自给你们做榜样，好让你们效法我们。

你们自己也知道，我这双手供应了我和与我在一起之人的需要。

难道只有我和巴拿巴没有不做工的权利吗？

弟兄们，你们记得我们的辛苦和劳碌：我们把神的福音传给你们的时候，我们日夜做工，免得成为你们任何人的负担。

因为与他们同业，就住在他们那里做工。原来他们是以制帐篷为业的。
