又將艾王掛在示眾木上、直到晚上時候。日落時、約書亞吩咐，人就把屍體從示眾木上取下來，丟在城門口，又在屍體上立起一大堆石頭；那石頭到今日還在。

隨後約書亞就擊殺了這五個王，把他們處死，掛在五根示眾木上；他們就在示眾木上直掛到晚上。日落時候、約書亞一吩咐，人就把他們從示眾木上取下來，丟在他們藏匿過的洞裏，把幾塊大石頭放在洞口；那些石頭到今日這一天還在那裏。

義人知照他牲口的脾氣；惡人的心腸總是殘忍。

那時彼拉多就拿耶穌，鞭打了。

頭一天要有聖聚會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作。你們要將火祭獻與永恆主七天；第七天是聖聚會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作。』永恆主告訴摩西說：『你要告訴以色列人說：你們到了我所賜給你們的地、收割莊稼的時候、要將莊稼初熟的一捆帶給祭司。他要把這一捆在永恆主面前搖一搖，使它為你們而蒙悅納；祭司要在第七日的次日搖獻它。在搖獻這捆的日子、你們要把一隻一歲以內完全沒有殘疾的公綿羊羔、做燔祭獻與永恆主。和它同獻的素祭、就是用油調和的細麵一伊法的十分之二、作為火祭獻與永恆主、做怡神之香氣；和它同獻的奠祭、是酒一欣的四分之一。無論是餅、是焙的穀子、或是新穀子、你們都不可喫；要等到把奉給你們的上帝的供物帶來獻上了那時候、才可以喫：這在你們一切的住所要做你們世世代代永遠的條例。『從第七日的次日、從你們把禾捆帶來做搖獻物那一天起、你們要為自己算七個足數的安息週；算到第七安息週的次日，共五十日；你們就將新的素祭獻與永恆主。

頭一天你們要有聖聚會，第七天也要有聖聚會；這兩天之內、除了各人所必須喫的、你們所可豫備的以外，一切的工作都不可作。

你們這些喫我人民的肉、剝去他們的皮、打折他們的骨頭，切開像肉塊在鍋裏，像肉在釜中的。

第二天、就是豫備日、日落以後、祭司長和法利賽人聚集，去見彼拉多
