Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them,“ Whom do you seek?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them,“ Who is it that you’re seeking?”

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Just before the Passover Feast, Jesus knew that his time had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now loved them to the very end.

Then Jesus asked them again,“ Who are you looking for?” And they said,“ Jesus the Nazarene.”

When they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said,“ Master of all, you who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them,who said by the Holy Spirit through your servant David our forefather,‘ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot foolish things?The kings of the earth stood together, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord and against his Christ.’“ For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.

But there are some of you who do not believe.”( For Jesus had already known from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

But I replied,“ Should a man like me run away? Would someone like me flee to the temple in order to save his life? I will not go!”

As certainly as the LORD your God lives, my master has sent to every nation and kingdom in an effort to find you. When they say,‘ He’s not here,’ he makes them swear an oath that they could not find you.

( For Jesus knew the one who was going to betray him. For this reason he said,“ Not every one of you is clean.”)

When they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them,“ The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.” And they became greatly distressed.

“ Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the experts in the law. They will condemn him to death,and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged severely and crucified. Yet on the third day, he will be raised.”

And while they were eating he said,“ I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me.”

The wicked person flees when there is no one pursuing, but the righteous person is as confident as a lion.

“ Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and experts in the law. They will condemn him to death and will turn him over to the Gentiles.They will mock him, spit on him, flog him severely, and kill him. Yet after three days, he will rise again.”

Then Jesus took the twelve aside and said to them,“ Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished.For he will be handed over to the Gentiles; he will be mocked, mistreated, and spat on.They will flog him severely and kill him. Yet on the third day he will rise again.”

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time everything was completed, said( in order to fulfill the scripture),“ I am thirsty!”

“ You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

This is why the Father loves me– because I lay down my life, so that I may take it back again.No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down of my own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it back again. This commandment I received from my Father.”

From that time on Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and experts in the law, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.

So, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,

He is not here, but has been raised! Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”

I am not afraid of the multitude of people who attack me from all directions.

Even when an army is deployed against me, I do not fear. Even when war is imminent, I remain confident.

You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of joy with your presence.’

Then Jesus said to them,“ This night you will all fall away because of me, for it is written:‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Then he said to them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”

And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem without knowing what will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit warns me in town after town that imprisonment and persecutions are waiting for me.

Now you say,‘ Go and say to your master,“ Elijah is back,”’ but he will kill me.”But Elijah said,“ As certainly as the LORD WHO RULES OVER ALL lives( whom I serve), I will make an appearance before him today.”When Obadiah went and informed Ahab, the king went to meet Elijah.When Ahab saw Elijah, he said to him,“ Is it really you, the one who brings disaster on Israel?”Elijah replied,“ I have not brought disaster on Israel. But you and your father’s dynasty have, by abandoning the LORD’s commandments and following the Baals.
