Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them,“ Whom do you seek?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them,“ Who is it that you’re seeking?”

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou[ art] God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who[ is there], that,[ being] as I[ am], would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

[ As] the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said,[ He is] not[ there]; he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee not.

For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify[ him]: and the third day he shall rise again.

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

[ Saying], Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Then he took[ unto him] the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:And they shall scourge[ him], and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

Ye know that after two days is[ the feast of] the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set[ themselves] against me round about.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this[ will] I[ be] confident.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

And he said unto them, These[ are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and[ in] the prophets, and[ in] the psalms, concerning me.

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah[ is here]: and he shall slay me.And Elijah said,[ As] the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, I will surely shew myself unto him to day.So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him: and Ahab went to meet Elijah.And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him,[ Art] thou he that troubleth Israel?And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
