Pilate then went out to them and said,“ What accusation do you bring against this Man?”

比辣多乃出而問曰：『爾曹控此人何事？』

So Pilate came out to them and asked,“ What charges are you bringing against this man?”

So Pilate went outside to them and said,“ What accusation do you bring against this man?”

So Pilate, the governor, went out to them and asked,“ What is your charge against this man?”

Therefore Pilate came out to them and* said,“ What accusation are you bringing against this Man?”

Pilate therefore went out unto them, and saith, What accusation bring ye against this man?

Then the governor said,“ Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, saying,“ Let Him be crucified!”

Then Pilate asked Him,“ Are You the King of the Jews?” He answered and said to him,“ It is as you say.”And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing.Then Pilate asked Him again, saying,“ Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!”But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.

And they began to accuse Him, saying,“ We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”Then Pilate asked Him, saying,“ Are You the King of the Jews?” He answered him and said,“ It is as you say.”

And when I wanted to know the reason they accused him, I brought him before their council.I found out that he was accused concerning questions of their law, but had nothing charged against him deserving of death or chains.And when it was told me that the Jews lay in wait for the man, I sent him immediately to you, and also commanded his accusers to state before you the charges against him. Farewell.

Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying,“ Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him,“ It is as you say.”And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.Then Pilate said to Him,“ Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?”But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

To them I answered,‘ It is not the custom of the Romans to deliver any man to destruction before the accused meets the accusers face to face, and has opportunity to answer for himself concerning the charge against him.’
