那时彼得远远地跟着耶稣，一直来到大祭司的院子，与卫兵们坐在一起烤火。

我没有与诡诈者为伍，没有跟虚伪之人同流。我憎恨奸恶之辈，不愿与恶人交往。耶和华啊，我洗手表明清白，再走到你的坛前，高唱感恩之歌，述说你的一切奇妙作为。耶和华啊，我爱你的殿，你荣耀充满的地方。别把我的灵魂和罪人同毁，别把我的性命与嗜血之徒同灭。他们满腹奸计，收受贿赂。

我的灵啊，不要与他们同谋。我的心啊，不要与他们联合。他们泄愤杀人，随意砍断牛腿的筋。

不从恶人的计谋，不与罪人为伍，不和轻慢上帝的人同流合污，只喜爱耶和华的律法，昼夜默诵，这样的人有福了！

那时西门·彼得仍然站着烤火，有人问他：“你不也是那人的门徒吗？”彼得否认说：“我不是！”

与智者同行必得智慧，与愚人结伴必受亏损。

他们在庭院当中生起了火，围坐取暖，彼得也坐在他们中间。有个婢女看见彼得坐在火堆边，打量他一番后，说：“这人是与耶稣一伙的！”

见彼得在烤火，打量了他一番，说：“你也是那个拿撒勒人耶稣的同伙。”

不可参与那些黑暗无益的事，反要揭发斥责，因为那些人暗地里做的事就是提起来都觉得可耻。

基督与魔鬼怎能相容呢？信徒与非信徒有什么相干呢？上帝的殿与偶像怎能相提并论呢？因为我们就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们当中往来；我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。”又说：“所以，你们要从他们中间出来，离开他们，不要沾染污秽之物，我就接纳你们。

你们不要上当受骗，“交坏朋友会败坏好品德”。

彼得和约翰被释放之后，就去找其他信徒，把祭司长和长老的话都告诉大家。

他们上岸后，看见有一堆炭火，上面有鱼和饼。

他进了一个山洞，在里面过夜。耶和华就问他：“以利亚，你在这里做什么？”

祂心中极其悲痛，祷告更恳切，汗珠如血滴在地上。
