But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

Simon Peter said to him,“ Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied,“ Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.”

Then Jesus said,“ I will be with you for only a little while longer, and then I am going to the one who sent me.

concerning righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer;

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.Therefore it says,“ When he ascended on high he captured captives; he gave gifts to men.”Now what is the meaning of“ he ascended,” except that he also descended to the lower regions, namely, the earth?He, the very one who descended, is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things.It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn, I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

Because Jesus knew that the Father had handed all things over to him, and that he had come from God and was going back to God,

And you know the way where I am going.”Thomas said,“ Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”Jesus replied,“ I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

You heard me say to you,‘ I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.”

Then what if you see the Son of Man ascending where he was before?

But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experience my joy completed in themselves.
