被創造者在上帝面前、沒有一個是不顯露的；萬物在我們必須和他算賬的主眼前、都是赤裸裸、捉襟肘見的。

因為你所給了我的話、我已經給了他們；他們領受了，又真地知道我從你而出，並且相信是你差遣了我。

因為父自己愛你們，因你們已愛了我，已相信我是從父而出的。我由父而出、到世界上來；又要離開世界、往父那裏去。』

父喜愛子，將自己所作的都指給他看；就使比這些更大的事工也要指給他看，叫你們希奇。

於是他門徒中就彼此說：『他對我們說「一會兒、你們就不得以見我；再一會兒你們就得以見我」；又說，「因為我往父那裏去」：這是甚麼意思呢？』
