So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

That’s the way it is with you. Now it’s your time to be sad. But I will see you again. Then you will be full of joy. And no one will take away your joy.

The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

It shall be said in that day,“ Behold, this is our God! We have waited for him, and he will save us! This is Yahweh! We have waited for him. We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation!”

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

When therefore it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle, and said to them,“ Peace be to you.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

for this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.For what thanksgiving can we render again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,

A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

While I live, I will praise Yahweh. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.

For though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food; the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls:yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

“ But Abraham said,‘ Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted, and you are in anguish.

“ For a small moment I have forsaken you, but I will gather you with great mercies.In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Even as it is written,“ For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Those ransomed by Yahweh will return, and come with singing to Zion. Everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to be delivered?” says Yahweh.“ Shall I who cause to give birth shut the womb?” says your God.“ Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”For Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. Yahweh’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved said to Peter,“ It’s the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around himself( for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea.

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for Jesus’ name.

Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation.”Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation.In that day you will say,“ Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted!

While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.They worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.

They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.

But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Jerusalem to be a delight, and her people a joy.I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and delight in my people; and the voice of weeping and the voice of crying will be heard in her no more.

Behold, my servants will rejoice, but you will be disappointed;Behold, my servants will sing for joy of heart, but you will cry for sorrow of heart, and will wail for anguish of spirit.

When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? He is over a nation or a man alike,

‘ For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.
