Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one is going to take your joy away from you.

So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

That’s the way it is with you. Now it’s your time to be sad. But I will see you again. Then you will be full of joy. And no one will take away your joy.

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

And it will be said on that day,“ Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let’s rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,

Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that at the revelation of His glory you may also rejoice and be overjoyed.If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, and of God, rests upon you.

Now when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were together due to fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and* said to them,“ Peace be to you.”And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to hold firmly to the hope set before us.

While they still could not believe it because of their joy and astonishment, He said to them,“ Have you anything here to eat?”

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”

but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

for this reason, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith;for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord.For what thanks can we give to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God,

“ A little while, and you no longer are going to see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me.”

except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that chains and afflictions await me.But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

I will praise the Lord while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Even if the fig tree does not blossom, And there is no fruit on the vines, If the yield of the olive fails, And the fields produce no food, Even if the flock disappears from the fold, And there are no cattle in the stalls,Yet I will triumph in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Truly, truly I say to you that you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy!

But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.

“ For a brief moment I abandoned you, But with great compassion I will gather you.In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, But with everlasting favor I will have compassion on you,” Says the Lord your Redeemer.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?Just as it is written:“ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And the redeemed of the Lord will return And come to Zion with joyful shouting, And everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.“ I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,

Shall I bring to the point of birth but not give delivery?” says the Lord.“ Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?” says your God.“ Be joyful with Jerusalem and rejoice for her, all you who love her; Be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn over her,So that you may nurse and be satisfied with her comforting breasts, So that you may drink fully and be delighted with her bountiful breasts.”For this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; And you will be nursed, you will be carried on the hip and rocked back and forth on the knees.As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad, And your bones will flourish like the new grass; And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants, But He will be indignant toward His enemies.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved* said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment( for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.

Now about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;

So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.And on that day you will say,“ Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted.”

While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple praising God.

For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and lasting possession.

And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to report to His disciples.

But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing And her people for gladness.I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.

“ Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, My servants will eat, but you will be hungry. Behold, My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. Behold, My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.Behold, My servants will shout joyfully with a glad heart, But you will cry out from a painful heart, And you will wail from a broken spirit.

When He keeps quiet, who can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can look at Him, That is, regarding both nation and a person?—

‘ I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.
