要知道，当一块田地吸收了常常降在它上面的雨水，并且为种地的人长出有用菜蔬时，它就享受从神而来的祝福；但如果它长出荆棘和蒺藜，就没有用处了，很快就要被诅咒，它的结局就是被焚烧。

所有属于我而不结果子的枝条，他就除掉；而所有结果子的，他就修剪干净，好让它结出更多的果子。

人子要差派他的天使们，从他的国度里挑出来所有绊脚的和作恶的，

原来，他们如果藉着认识我们的主、救主耶稣基督而逃脱这世界的污秽，却又被这些污秽纠缠、制伏了，那么，他们最后的情况就比先前更坏了；

现在斧子已经放在树根上，所有不结好果子的树都要被砍下来，被丢进火里。

凡是名字没有被记在生命册上的人，都被丢进了火湖里。

他们从我们中间出去，但他们本来就不属于我们，因为他们如果属于我们，就会留下与我们在一起；不过这样就显明出，他们都不属于我们。

这些人在你们的爱筵中是污点，与你们一起吃喝也无所惧怕；他们只牧养自己；他们是无水的云，随风飘荡；是深秋不结果子的树，死了又死，被连根拔起；是海中的狂浪，涌出自己可耻的泡沫；是流荡的星辰，有漆黑的幽暗永远为他们存留。

只保留了对审判的可怕等待，和那将要吞灭敌对者的嫉恨之火。

就是你右手所栽种的幼苗，你为自己所坚固的根苗。

而你却被抛出坟墓，如同一根被憎恶的枝子；你被那些遭刀剑刺透杀死、落入石坑的人所覆盖，如同一具被践踏的尸体。

犹大把银钱丢在圣所里就退了出来，去上吊自杀了。

坚固的城变为凄凉，成了被撇下、被遗弃的居所，像旷野一样；牛犊在那里吃草、躺卧，吃尽那里的树枝。

但那些胆怯的、不信的、可憎的、杀人的、淫乱的、行邪术的、拜偶像的，和所有说谎的人，他们的份就在燃烧着烈火和硫磺的湖里。这是第二次的死亡。”
