If that which ye heard from the beginning abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.And this is the promise which he promised us, even the life eternal.These things have I written unto you concerning them that would lead you astray.And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.And now, my little children, abide in him; that, if he shall be manifested, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.

In that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Son of man, what is the vine- tree more than any tree, the vine- branch which is among the trees of the forest?Shall wood be taken thereof to make any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire hath devoured both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned: is it profitable for any work?Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work!

And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience.

As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

who, when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad; and he exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord:

if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister.

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green fir- tree; from me is thy fruit found.

Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.And we have believed and know that thou art the Holy One of God.

Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition; but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.

For this cause I also, when I could no longer forbear, sent that I might know your faith, lest by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor should be in vain.

Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple- tree I awakened thee: There thy mother was in travail with thee, There was she in travail that brought thee forth.

For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have compassion upon them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.
