是的，凡立志要在基督耶穌裏敬虔度生活的、都會遭受到逼迫的。

我實實在在地告訴你們，僕人不比主人大，被差遣的也不比差他的大。

『學生們並不高過先生，奴僕並不高過主人。

然而以色列家卻不肯聽你，因為他們不肯聽我；因為以色列全家原是頭額堅硬、心裏剛愎的人。

那些猶太人不但殺害主耶穌和神言傳講師，並且驅逐我們；不但不使上帝喜歡，並且跟一切人作對，

遭逼迫，卻沒有被撇棄；被打倒，卻沒打到死去；

勞勞苦苦，親手作工；被辱罵，我們就祝福；受逼迫，我們就忍受；

我們所聽見的、有誰能相信呢？永恆主的膀臂向誰現露過呢？他在永恆主面前長起來像幼樹秧，像根出於乾旱之地；他沒有佳形威儀讓我們瞻仰他，也沒有美容使我們羨慕他。他被藐視，被絕交，是個多受痛苦、熟知憂患的人，像被人掩面不看的一樣；他被藐視，我們並不算他為甚麼。

猶太人又舉起石頭來要打他。

希律和本丟彼拉多、同外國人和以色列眾族之民、真地在這城裏聚集，攻打你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，要作你手和你計畫所豫定必成的一切事。如今主啊，鑒察他們的恐嚇哦，使你僕人能完全放膽無懼講你的道；同時伸出你的手來醫病，使神迹奇事、藉你聖僕耶穌的名、行了出來。』

哪一個神言人、你們的祖宗沒有逼迫過？他們把豫先宣佈那義人之來臨的人殺了。如今你們、你們這些由天使之宣諭領受了律法、而不遵守的人，你們竟成了那義人的出賣者和兇手了！』

故此猶太人逼迫耶穌，因為他在安息日作了這些事。

我實實在在地告訴你們，人若遵守我的話，必定永遠不見死。』

祭司長和法利賽人早已發了命令：若有人知道耶穌在哪裏，就該報告，他們好去逮他。

於是他們拿起石頭來、要打他；耶穌卻逕自隱藏着，出殿去了。

西面就給他們祝福，對孩子的母親馬利亞說：『看吧，這孩子被設立、必使以色列中許多人跌倒、許多人復起，也必做辯論的對象，將許多人心裏的意念揭露出來；

法利賽人聽見羣眾唧唧咕咕地拿這些事來議論耶穌，祭司長和法利賽人就差遣差役要逮他。

永恆主對撒母耳說：『關於人民向你說的一切話你只管依從，因為他們不是棄絕你，乃是棄絕了我作王來管理他們。

學生並不高過先生；但凡受訓完成的就會像先生一樣。
