蓋我儕素亦無知、悖逆、迷惑、役於情慾佚樂、以狠毒媢嫉度生、見惡於人、亦彼此相惡、然我救者上帝慈惠仁愛顯著時、則救我儕、非因我行義之功、乃依其矜恤、以重生之盥濯、與聖神之復新、即上帝由我救者耶穌基督厚注我儕者、俾得以其恩而見義、且依永生之望、成為嗣子、

惟爾乃蒙選之族、王室之祭司、維聖之國、特設之民、俾彰召爾出幽暗入奇光者之德、素非為民、今為上帝民、素未蒙恤、今蒙恤矣、○愛友乎、爾若客旅、若寄居、我勸爾戒形軀之慾、即攻爾心者也、於異邦宜正爾行、使素謗爾為惡者見之、則榮上帝於眷顧之日、

爾若愛乎愛爾者、何惠之有、蓋罪人亦愛乎愛己者、

爾往時從異邦人之欲、而行邪侈、縱恣、沉湎、荒宴、盤樂、及違理拜像之事亦足矣、

既屆千年、撒但將釋於囹圄、出惑在地四極之邦、即歌革與瑪各也、且集之以戰、其數如海沙焉、遂遊行地上、圍聖徒之營、與蒙愛之邑、有火降自天而滅之、

龍怒婦滋甚、遂往與其餘裔戰、即守上帝誡與耶穌之證者、時、龍立於海沙、

大龍即老蛇、亦名曰魔、曰撒但、迷惑普世者、見投於地、其使亦與焉、
