My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.

But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.

For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

But Jesus, answering, said to him,“ Allow it now, for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed him.Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him.Behold, a voice out of the heavens said,“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

“ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands wait for his law.”

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”

Therefore when he comes into the world, he says,“ You didn’t desire sacrifice and offering, but you prepared a body for me.You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’”Previously saying,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them”( those which are offered according to the law),then he has said,“ Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
