Yet I planted you as a choice vine, A completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?

On that day,“ A vineyard of beauty, sing of it!I, the Lord, am its keeper; I water it every moment. So that no one will damage it, I guard it night and day.

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

You removed a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it.You cleared the ground before it, And it took deep root and filled the land.The mountains were covered with its shadow, And the cedars of God with its branches.It was sending out its branches to the sea And its shoots to the Euphrates River.Why have You broken down its hedges, So that all who pass that way pick its fruit?A boar from the forest eats it away, And whatever moves in the field feeds on it.God of armies, do turn back; Look down from heaven and see, and take care of this vine,The shoot which Your right hand has planted, And of the son whom You have strengthened for Yourself.It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish from the rebuke of Your face.Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.

Let me sing now for my beloved A song of my beloved about His vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill.He dug it all around, cleared it of stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. And He built a tower in the middle of it, And also carved out a wine vat in it; Then He expected it to produce good grapes, But it produced only worthless ones.“ And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, Judge between Me and My vineyard.What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce worthless ones?So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard: I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed; I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground.I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned nor hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also command the clouds not to rain on it.”For the vineyard of the Lord of armies is the house of Israel, And the people of Judah are His delightful plant. So He waited for justice, but behold, there was bloodshed; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.

On that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the beauty of the survivors of Israel.

Then all your people will be righteous; They will possess the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.

For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.

“ Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it, and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and he leased it to vine growers and went on a journey.

And He began to speak to them in parables:“ A man planted a vineyard and put a fence around it, and dug a vat under the wine press and built a tower, and leased it to vine growers and went on a journey.

Israel is a luxuriant vine; He produces fruit for himself. The more his fruit, The more altars he made; The richer his land, The better he made the memorial stones.

Let’s rise early and go to the vineyards; Let’s see whether the vine has grown And its buds have opened, And whether the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love.

Many shepherds have ruined My vineyard, They have trampled down My field; They have made My pleasant field A desolate wilderness.

Solomon had a vineyard at Baal hamon; He entrusted the vineyard to caretakers. Each one was to bring a thousand shekels of silver for its fruit.My very own vineyard is at my disposal; The thousand shekels are for you, Solomon, And two hundred are for those who take care of its fruit.”

Jesus then said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.

The scepter will not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.He ties his foal to the vine, And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; He washes his garments in wine, And his robes in the blood of grapes.

Now listen, Joshua, you high priest, you and your friends who are sitting in front of you— indeed they are men who are a sign: for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the Branch.

And He began telling this parable:“ A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any.

This was the true Light that, coming into the world, enlightens every person.

To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

“ Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than any wood of a branch which is among the trees of the forest?Can wood be taken from it to make anything, or can even a peg be taken from it on which to hang any utensil?If it has been put into the fire for fuel, and the fire has consumed both of its ends and its middle part has been charred, is it then good for anything?Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything!Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:‘ As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem;

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
