Judas( not Iscariot) said to him,“ Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?”Jesus answered him,“ If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

But he said,“ Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

“ And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today for your good?

You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.

and the Scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”— and he was called a friend of God.You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.’

“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died;and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying,‘ Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say evermore,“ Great is the Lord, who delights in the welfare of his servant!”

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

“ I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision,“ Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent,for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.”And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

and saw him saying to me,‘ Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.
