對他們說：「經上記著：『我的殿將被稱為禱告的殿』，而你們卻使它成為賊窩了！」

但神對惡人說：「你憑什麼講述我的律例，口中提起我的約呢？實際上，你恨惡管教，把我的話語丟在身後。你看見竊賊時，就喜悅與他在一起，你又與通姦的人一同有份。你讓你的口發出惡言，讓你的舌編造謊話。你坐著說話攻擊你的弟兄，毀謗你母親的兒子。

如果有一個戴著金戒指、穿著華麗衣服的人進了你們的會堂，又有一個穿著骯髒衣服的窮人也進來了，

義人明白貧弱者的爭訟，惡人卻無知、不能領悟。

這是因為那人是雇來的，並不顧念羊的事。

只是要我們記得窮人，而這一點也正是我一向努力做的。

偷竊的、貪心的、酗酒的、誹謗人的、勒索人的，都不會繼承神的國。

連一切惡的樣式都要遠避。

愚頑人心裡說：「沒有神！」他們都敗壞，行為可憎；沒有人行善。

不僅如此，他也被各教會選出，與我們一起帶著惠贈同行。我們這服事為的是主自己的榮耀，也為了表明我們的樂意之心。我們這樣謹慎，免得有人在我們所經手的這豐厚之事上挑剔我們，因為我們不僅要敬重主看為美善的事，也要敬重人看為美善的事。

所有在我以前來的，是賊、是強盜，因此羊沒有聽從他們。我就是門。人如果通過我進來，就將得救，而且進進出出，將找到牧草。盜賊來，無非是要偷竊、宰殺、毀滅；而我來是要他們得生命，並且得的更豐盛。
