Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred shillings, and given to the poor?

说：“这香膏为什么不卖三十两银子周济穷人呢？”

說：「這香膏為甚麼不賣三十兩銀子賙濟窮人呢？」

「為甚麼不把這香膏賣三百個銀幣去賙濟窮人呢？」

「為什麼不把香膏賣三百個銀幣去賙濟窮人呢？」

“為甚麼不把這香膏賣三百銀幣，賙濟窮人呢？”

『這香膏為甚麼不賣三百日工錢、去給窮人呢？』

「為什麼不把這香液賣三百個銀幣去分給窮人呢？」

何不以此膏鬻金三十以濟貧乎、

曰、何不售此膏、得金三十、以濟貧乎、

何不售此膏、得三百第拿流約銀三十兩以濟貧乎、

責曰：『何不售此膏、得三百銀錢、以濟貧者乎？』

“ Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.”

Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

“ Why wasn’t this oil sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?”

“ Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?”

Sell that which ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth.

But there were some that had indignation among themselves, saying, To what purpose hath this waste of the ointment been made?For this ointment might have been sold for above three hundred shillings, and given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

And when Jesus heard it, he said unto him, One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Philip answered him, Two hundred shillings’ worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little.

saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and dealing falsely with balances of deceit;

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

And the number of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish aught thereof: for they are idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

And when he had agreed with the laborers for a shilling a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Oh that there were one among you that would shut the doors, that ye might not kindle fire on mine altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, saith Jehovah of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the Gentiles, saith Jehovah of hosts.But ye profane it, in that ye say, The table of Jehovah is polluted, and the fruit thereof, even its food, is contemptible.Ye say also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith Jehovah of hosts; and ye have brought that which was taken by violence, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye bring the offering: should I accept this at your hand? saith Jehovah.

But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and sacrifice to Jehovah.
