『主已蒙其目、主已頑其心、恐其目有見、恐其心有靈、恐其即回頭、令吾全其生。』

“ He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn— and I would heal them.”

he said,“ To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that‘ seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

Jesus said,“ For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”

so that“‘ they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’”

Who is blind but my servant, or deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is blind as my dedicated one, or blind as the servant of the Lord?He sees many things, but does not observe them; his ears are open, but he does not hear.

Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

As for me, I said,“ O Lord, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you!”

“ Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.

For the Lord has poured out upon you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes( the prophets), and covered your heads( the seers).

I will heal their apostasy; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

“ Return, O faithless sons; I will heal your faithlessness.”“ Behold, we come to you, for you are the Lord our God.

I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners,creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the Lord,“ and I will heal him.

But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

For it was the Lord’s doing to harden their hearts that they should come against Israel in battle, in order that they should be devoted to destruction and should receive no mercy but be destroyed, just as the Lord commanded Moses.

So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

“‘ Go to this people, and say,“ You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”

“ Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not, who have ears, but hear not.

Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened,as it is written,“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.”And David says,“ Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them;let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and bend their backs forever.”So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.

And Jesus, aware of this, said to them,“ Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened?Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember?

Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers.

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the people of Israel while the people of Israel were going out defiantly.

And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back,let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,

and the Lord said,‘ Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said one thing, and another said another.

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,

for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen.

who struck down many nations and killed mighty kings,Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan,and gave their land as a heritage, a heritage to his people Israel.Your name, O Lord, endures forever, your renown, O Lord, throughout all ages.For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands.They have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see;they have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths.Those who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the miracles that I have put in your power. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.

O Lord, your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed. Let the fire for your adversaries consume them.
