耶穌曰：『光處爾曹之中、尚有片時、及爾有光、爾當勉行、毋使暗冥襲爾、行於黑暗中者、不自知其所往、

Then Jesus told them,“ You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

Jesus replied,“ My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going.

Jesus answered,“ The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.

頃之、爾不見我、又頃之、爾復見我、

我乃光臨於世、俾信者弗居於暗、

耶穌復語眾曰、我乃世之光、從我者、不行於暗、必有維生之光、

蓋爾素為暗、今宗主而為光、當如光明之人而行、

幽暗未至、爾足未躓於晦冥之山、所望之光、未變為死亡之陰翳、深沈之昏黑以先、當歸榮於爾上帝耶和華、如爾不聽、我將為爾狂傲、背人而泣、我目流涕痛哭、以耶和華之羣羊被虜也、

夜行則蹶、以其無光也、

若言心交於彼、而行於暗昧、則誑而不循真理、若行於光、猶彼在光、則互有心交、而其子耶穌之血、潔我諸罪矣、

耶穌曰、我猶暫偕爾、後歸遣我者、

爾尚有光、宜信之、致成為光之子也、○

爾皆為屬光之人、屬晝之人、我儕不由於夜、或於暗也、勿如眾寢、宜儆醒節制、蓋寢者寢於夜、醉者醉於夜、但我儕既屬晝、則宜節制、以信與愛為胸鏡、以得救之望為兜鍪、

時尚晝、我儕必行遣我者之行、夜至、則無人能行矣、我在世、乃世之光、

曰、我耶和華以義召爾、必攜爾手而護爾、使爾為與民立約之據、亦為列邦之光、啟瞽者之目、出囹圄之囚、處幽暗者、出之於獄、

雅各家其來、共行於耶和華光輝之中、

眾之所以不能信者、蓋以賽亞又云、主瞽其目、頑其心、恐其目見心悟、轉移而我醫之、

光燭於暗、而暗弗識之、有上帝所遣者、曰約翰、彼來作證、即為光作證、俾眾由之而信、斯人非光、特為光作證耳、是有真光、普照凡入世之人、

然則何耶、以色列所求未得、惟蒙選者得之、餘則頑耳、如經云、上帝賦之以昏昧之心、目不見、耳不聞、至於今日、大衛曰、令其筵為絆、為檻、為礙、為報、其目矇而不見、其背終於傴僂、

惟其心頑、迄今讀舊約時、斯帕猶存、夫其帕因基督而廢矣、

再者我以新誡書予爾、其事在彼為真、在爾亦然、因幽暗漸逝、真光已照、人自謂在光中、而惡兄弟、乃尚在暗中也、愛兄弟者、乃居光中、無由傾躓、惟惡兄弟者、乃在暗中、且行於暗中、不知所往、因暗盲其目也、○

願其筵席、變為網羅於其前、平安之時、變為機檻兮、其目昏眊不見、其腰戰慄不已兮、爾以恚忿傾之、以烈怒迫之兮、願其住址荒寂、幕無居人兮、蓋彼迫爾所擊者、道爾所傷者之苦兮、願爾以罪加於其罪、勿容與於爾義兮、願彼塗於生命册、不與義人同錄兮、

夜既央、晝伊邇、我儕宜脫昏暗之行、而服光明之甲、行宜莊正、如於白晝、勿荒宴而沉湎、勿冒色而邪侈、勿爭鬥而媢嫉、惟主耶穌基督是服、毋為形軀是圖、以縱其慾、

故曰、寐者宜寤、自死而起、基督將照爾矣、○慎顧爾行、勿若無智、乃若有智、

惡者之途、有若幽暗、遭遇顚躓、不知何因、○

是故如聖神所云、爾今日若聞其言、勿剛愎乃心、猶昔之激怒、即試我於野之日、
