坐着吃饭的和伺候的哪个地位高呢？难道不是坐着的那个吗？然而，我在你们当中是服侍人的。

看啊！我站在门外敲门，若有谁闻声开门，我必进去，我与他，他与我，一同坐席吃饭。

有许多犹太人知道耶稣在那里，就来看祂，不单是为了看耶稣，也想看看从死里复活的拉撒路。于是，祭司长计划连拉撒路也杀掉，

耶稣在伯大尼村患过麻风病的西门家里吃饭，有个女人带了一瓶极贵重的纯哪哒香膏进来，把玉瓶打破，将香膏倒在耶稣头上。

耶稣和门徒去耶路撒冷的途中路过一个村庄，遇到一位名叫玛大的女子接待他们到家里作客。玛大的妹妹玛丽亚坐在耶稣脚前听道，玛大为了招待客人忙乱不已，于是上前对耶稣说：“主啊，我妹妹让我一个人伺候大家，你都不管吗？请你叫她来帮帮我吧。”耶稣对她说：“玛大，玛大，你为太多事情忧虑烦恼。其实最要紧的事只有一件，玛丽亚选择了上好的，是夺不走的。”

主人回来，看见奴仆警醒等候，奴仆就有福了！我实在告诉你们，主人必束上腰带请他们坐席，并亲自服侍他们。

说完，就大声呼喊：“拉撒路，出来！”那死者就出来了，手脚都缠着布条，脸上也包着布。耶稣对他们说：“给他解开，让他走！”

随后，他在家设宴款待耶稣，赴宴的人中有许多税吏和其他人。

耶稣又对主人说：“摆设午宴、晚宴时，不要邀请你的朋友、弟兄、亲戚或有钱的邻居，免得他们回请你，你便得到报答了。

当耶稣在伯大尼患过麻风病的西门家里时，

北风啊，兴起吧！南风啊，吹来吧！吹向我的园子，使它的清香四溢。愿我的良人走进自己的园中，享受其中的珍果。我的妹妹，我的新娘啊，我已经来到自己的园中，采了我的没药和香料，品尝了我的蜂房和蜂蜜，也享用了我的美酒和鲜奶。朋友们，尽情吃喝吧。相爱的人啊，沉醉在爱中吧！
