Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said,“ What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together.“ What are we going to do?” they asked each other.“ This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and were saying,“ What are we going to do since this man is doing many signs?

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council meeting, and they were saying,“ What are we doing in regard to the fact that this man is performing many signs?

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said,“ What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

那时，祭司长们和民间的长老们聚集在叫该亚法的大祭司的宅院里，

耶稣在加利利的迦拿行了这头一件神迹，显明了他的荣耀，他的门徒们就信了他。

于是法利赛人互相说：“可见你们真没用！看，这世界都跟随他去了。”

但是我告诉你们：所有向他弟兄发怒的，当遭受审判；骂他弟兄‘废物’的，当遭受议会的审判；骂‘蠢货’的，当遭受烈火的地狱。

地上的君王们站出来，首领们一同商定，敌对耶和华和他的受膏者，说：“让我们挣断他们的捆绑，把他们的绳索从我们身上甩掉！”坐在天上的那一位会讥笑，主会嘲笑他们。

到了第二天，犹太人的首领、长老和经文士们都聚集在耶路撒冷。大祭司亚纳、该亚法、约翰、亚历山大，以及大祭司家族的人都在那里。

原来，祭司长们和法利赛人早就下令，如果有人知道耶稣在哪里，就要报告，好抓住他。

过两天就是逾越节和除酵节了。祭司长们和经文士们在图谋怎样用诡计拘捕耶稣，把他杀掉。

他们听从这话，在清晨的时候就进入圣殿教导人。这时，大祭司和与他在一起的人来了，他们召集了议会，就是以色列子民长老的全体议会，然后派人到监狱里，要把使徒们带来。

当圣殿的守卫长和祭司长们听到这些话的时候，就对使徒们的事感到困惑，不知道这事会如何发展。

祭司长们和经文士们在图谋怎样能杀掉耶稣，因为他们怕民众。

到了清晨，所有的祭司长和民间的长老商议对付耶稣，为要处死他。他们把耶稣捆起来带走，交给总督彼拉多。

“事实上，希律和本丢彼拉多，与外邦人和以色列子民果然在这城里一同聚集，对付你所膏立的圣仆耶稣，做成了你手和你计划所预定要成就的一切事。

说：“我们该怎么处理这些人呢？藉着他们，确实发生了一个明显的神迹，所有住在耶路撒冷的人都清清楚楚；我们也不能否认。不过为了避免这事在民间传扬更广，让我们威吓他们，不可再奉耶稣的名对任何人讲话。”
