於是耶穌心裏又悲憤歎息，來到墳墓前。那墳墓是個洞，有塊石頭擋住。

『如今我的心極為震盪，我說甚麼好呢？父啊，救我脫離這鐘點哦！然而、是為這緣故、我才到了這鐘點的。

要和喜樂的人同喜樂，和哭泣的人同哭泣；

約瑟愛弟弟的心腸熱起來，就急忙尋找可哭的地方，便進自己的臥房去哭一陣。他洗了臉出來，勉強忍住，就說：『擺飯。』

耶穌氣忿忿地周圍看着他們，因了他們心之頑梗而惻然憂愁，就對那人說：『伸出手來。』他一伸，他的手就復了原。

因為我們的大祭司並不是一位不能同情於我們的種種軟弱的，乃是一位在各方面同樣受過試誘、卻沒有罪的。

基督在他肉身的日子、既用壯烈的哭號和眼淚、向那能救他脫死的獻祈求和懇請，就因了虔敬而蒙垂聽；雖是兒子，還因所受的苦而學了聽從；

約瑟在所有侍立左右的人面前、忍不住了，就喊叫一聲說：『叫各人都離開我出去。』這樣，約瑟讓弟兄們認他的時候，並沒有一個人站在他跟前伺候着。他就放聲大哭；埃及人聽見了；法老一家也聽見了。約瑟對他的弟兄們說：『我是約瑟；我父親還活着麼？』他弟兄們不能回答他，因為他們在他面前都很驚惶。約瑟對他的弟兄們說：『請走上前來挨近我。』他們就走上前去。他說：『我就是你們的兄弟約瑟，你們所賣到埃及的。現在你們不要因為把我賣到這裏來自己憂傷、自己惱怒；因為是為了要保全人類的生命，上帝才差了我在你們以先來的。

耶穌回答他們說：『噯，沒有信心的世代啊，我跟你們在一起要到幾時呢？我容忍你們要到幾時呢？帶他來找我吧。』

於是帶着彼得雅各和約翰、同他到一邊去，就非常驚恐，極其難過。對他們說：『我的心很是憂困、幾乎要死。你們停留在這裏，且儆醒着。』他就稍往前走，俯伏在地上禱告、能不能使那鐘點離開他而過去。

說了這些話，耶穌心靈上極為震盪，就指證說：『我實實在在地告訴你們，你們中間有一個人要把我送官。』
