Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said,“ Your name is Simon, son of John— but you will be called Cephas”( which means“ Peter”).

He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas( which is by interpretation, Peter).

and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, He said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which means“ Rock”).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

他们吃完了早饭，耶稣对西门彼得说：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我比这些更深吗？”彼得说：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣对他说：“你喂养我的小羊。”耶稣第二次又对他说：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你牧养我的羊。”第三次对他说：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣第三次对他说“你爱我吗”，就忧愁，对耶稣说：“主啊，你是无所不知的；你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的羊。

或保罗，或亚波罗，或矶法，或世界，或生，或死，或现今的事，或将来的事，全是你们的；

我的意思就是你们各人说：“我是属保罗的”；“我是属亚波罗的”；“我是属矶法的”；“我是属基督的”。

又知道所赐给我的恩典，那称为教会柱石的雅各、矶法、约翰，就向我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼，叫我们往外邦人那里去，他们往受割礼的人那里去。

耶稣说：“我不是拣选了你们十二个门徒吗？但你们中间有一个是魔鬼。”耶稣这话是指着加略人西门的儿子犹大说的；他本是十二个门徒里的一个，后来要卖耶稣的。

耶稣对他说：“西门巴约拿，你是有福的！因为这不是属血肉的指示你的，乃是我在天上的父指示的。我还告诉你，你是彼得，我要把我的教会建造在这磐石上；阴间的权柄不能胜过他。

西门彼得看见，就俯伏在耶稣膝前，说：“主啊，离开我，我是个罪人！”

耶稣却不将自己交托他们；因为他知道万人，也用不着谁见证人怎样，因他知道人心里所存的。

这十二使徒的名：头一个叫西门，又称彼得，还有他兄弟安得烈，西庇太的儿子雅各和雅各的兄弟约翰，

难道我们没有权柄娶信主的姐妹为妻，带着一同往来，仿佛其余的使徒和主的弟兄并矶法一样吗？

并且显给矶法看，然后显给十二使徒看；

这十二个人有西门，耶稣又给他起名叫彼得；

有西门彼得和称为低土马的多马，并加利利的迦拿人拿但业，还有西庇太的两个儿子，又有两个门徒，都在一处。

耶稣看见拿但业来，就指着他说：“看哪，这是个真以色列人，他心里是没有诡诈的。”拿但业对耶稣说：“你从哪里知道我呢？”耶稣回答说：“腓力还没有招呼你，你在无花果树底下，我就看见你了。”

我这话不是指着你们众人说的，我知道我所拣选的是谁。现在要应验经上的话，说：‘同我吃饭的人用脚踢我。’

这十二个人有西门（耶稣又给他起名叫彼得），还有他兄弟安得烈，又有雅各和约翰，腓力和巴多罗买，
