And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which, when translated, is Peter).

Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said,“ Your name is Simon, son of John— but you will be called Cephas”( which means“ Peter”).

and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, He said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which means“ Rock”).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

大家吃完早饭后，耶稣就问西门彼得：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我胜过这些吗？”彼得说：“是的，主啊！你知道我喜爱你。”耶稣对他说：“喂养我的小羊。”耶稣第二次又问他：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得回答说：“是的，主啊！你知道我喜爱你。”耶稣对他说：“牧养我的羊。”耶稣第三次问他：“约翰的儿子西门，你喜爱我吗？”彼得感到忧伤，因为耶稣第三次是对他说：“你喜爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊，你知道一切，你知道我喜爱你。”耶稣对他说：“喂养我的羊。

无论是保罗、是阿波罗、是矶法、是世界、是生、是死、是现在的事、是将来的事，全都属于你们；

这就是说：你们各自声称“我是属保罗的”，或“我是属阿波罗的”，或“我是属矶法的”，或“我是属基督的”。

公认是柱石的雅各、矶法和约翰，既然明白了神所赐给我的恩典，就向巴拿巴和我伸出右手行契合之礼，要我们往外邦人那里去，而他们往受割礼的人那里去；

耶稣对他们说：“我不是拣选了你们十二使徒吗？可是你们当中有一个是魔鬼。”耶稣说的是加略人西门的儿子犹大；这个人虽然是十二使徒中的一个，后来却要出卖耶稣。

耶稣对他说：“约拿的儿子西门，你是蒙福的，因为这不是任何人启示你的，而是我在天上的父启示你的。我还告诉你：你是彼得，我要在这磐石上建立我的教会，阴间的门不能胜过它。

西门彼得看见，就俯伏在耶稣脚前，说：“主啊，离开我吧，因为我是个罪人！”

但耶稣自己却信不过他们，因为他了解所有的人。他也不需要谁来见证人的事，因为他知道人里面是什么。

以下是十二使徒的名字：首先是西门——也叫彼得，然后是他的弟弟安得烈，西庇太的儿子雅各，雅各的弟弟约翰，

难道我们没有权利像其他的使徒，像主的弟弟们，像矶法那样，也带着信主的妻子一同往来吗？

并且向矶法显现，然后向十二使徒显现，

这样，他委任了十二使徒：西门——耶稣给他起名叫彼得；

当时，西门彼得、那叫迪杜马的多马、加利利的迦拿人拿旦业、西庇太的两个儿子、还有他的另外两位门徒，正在一起。

耶稣看见拿旦业向他走来，就指着他说：“看，一个真正的以色列人！他里面没有诡诈。”拿旦业对耶稣说：“你怎么知道我呢？”耶稣回答说：“腓力叫你以前，你还在无花果树下，我就看见你了。”

我不是针对你们每个人而说的。我了解我所拣选的每个人，但这是为要应验经上的话：‘那吃我饼的人，竟抬脚踢我。’

西门——耶稣又称他为彼得，他的弟弟安得烈，又有雅各、约翰、腓力、巴多罗迈、
