“ Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan. For every one of them is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.

Be on guard against your friends. Do not trust the members of your own family. Every one of them cheats. Every friend tells lies.

Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

“ Beware of your neighbor! Don’t even trust your brother! For brother takes advantage of brother, and friend slanders friend.

Everyone has to be on guard against his friend. Don’t trust any brother, for every brother will certainly deceive, and every friend spread slander.

不要信靠你的同伴，不要信任你的友人；要守住你的嘴脣，別向躺在你懷中的妻子透露。因為兒子辱沒着父親，女兒起來忤逆着母親，兒媳婦忤逆着婆婆；人的仇敵就是他自己家裏的人。

他們都是悖逆中最悖逆的，經常來來往往、搬弄是非，簡直是銅是鐵，都是腐化敗壞。

人人跟鄰舍說虛謊話；他們說話、是嘴脣油滑、存兩樣心的。凡油滑嘴脣和說大話的舌頭願永恆主都割斷。

怨恨人的用嘴掩飾，心裏卻存着詭詐；他雖說出溫雅的話，你不可信他，因為他心中有七樣可厭惡的；

不可在你族民中往來、搬弄是非，也不可取一種立場、去害死你鄰舍的性命；我是永恆主。

隱藏怨恨的、嘴脣虛假；口出讒言的是愚頑人。

那人說：『你的名不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列，因為你跟神跟人較力，都得了勝。』

因為連你的族弟兄和你父的家都以詭詐待你，連這些人都大聲追喊着你；他們雖向你說好話，你可不要信他們。』

以撒說：『你兄弟進來，用詭詐把你應得的祝福取了去了。』以掃說：『是不是因為他名叫「欺騙」、他才欺騙了我這兩次呢？我的長子名分、他取了去；如今你看，他又把我應得的祝福取了去。』以掃又說：『難道你沒有給我保留個祝福麼？』

他不以舌頭讒毁人，不惡待朋友，也不襲取閒話去毁謗鄰近；

作假見證陷害鄰舍的人、是大槌、是利刀、是快箭。

『不要以為我來是把和平帶到地上；我來並不是帶和平，乃是帶刀劍。因為我來、是叫人跟父親割絕，女兒跟母親割絕，兒媳婦跟婆婆割絕；

你們要注意提防人，因為他們必把你們送交議會，必在他們的會堂裏鞭打你們；

他要你們各人在這事上不越分、而佔他弟兄的便宜；因為關於這一切事、主是處罰者；這也是我們先前對你說過、而鄭重證明的。

你們竟要被父母、弟兄、親戚和朋友、送官；他們也必將你們中間幾個人害死；

所以你們既脫去了一切惡毒、一切詭詐裝假和嫉妒、以及一切毁謗的事，就該切慕心神之純淨奶子，像才生的嬰兒切慕奶子一樣，使你們靠着這個而長大、以至於得救。

噴吐謊言的假見證、在弟兄中散布紛爭的人。

永恆主所恨的有六樣；連他心所厭惡的實有七樣：就是

有毁滅於其中，欺凌和詭詐不離開其街市。原來不是仇敵在辱罵我；若是，我還可以容忍；也不是恨我的人向我妄自尊大；若是，我還可以躲避他。

在你裏面有搬弄是非的人以流人血的；在你裏面有在山上喫祭偶像之物的；在你中間有行罪大惡極之事的。

弟兄必把弟兄、父親必把兒女、送到死地；兒女必起來、跟父母為敵，害死他們。
