“ They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me,” declares the Lord.

Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he layeth wait for him.

And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, that knew not Jehovah, nor yet the work which he had wrought for Israel.

For my people are foolish, they know me not; they are sottish children, and they have no understanding; they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

transgressing and denying Jehovah, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.And justice is turned away backward, and righteousness standeth afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness cannot enter.Yea, truth is lacking; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey. But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.
