Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.

I wish I had somewhere to go in the desert where a traveler could stay! Then I could leave my people. I could get away from them. All of them commit adultery by worshiping other gods. They aren’t faithful to the Lord.

Oh that I had in the desert a travelers’ lodging place, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, a company of treacherous men.

Oh, that I could go away and forget my people and live in a travelers’ shack in the desert. For they are all adulterers— a pack of treacherous liars.

If only I had a traveler’s lodging place in the wilderness, I would abandon my people and depart from them, for they are all adulterers, a solemn assembly of treacherous people.

( 9: 1) I wish I had a lodging place in the desert where I could spend some time like a weary traveler. Then I would desert my people and walk away from them because they are all unfaithful to God, a congregation of people that has been disloyal to him.

斯土充斥淫人、因受詛而愁慘、野間草場枯槁、其人所行乃惡、其勢不正、

我何能宥爾哉、爾之子女棄我、指彼非神者而誓、我使之飽食、彼則行淫、羣集妓室、彼若肥馬得縱、各向其鄰之妻嘶鳴、

惟妄誓、失信、殺戮、偷盜、姦淫、殘暴是行、疊流人血、

彼眾行淫、如烘餅者所爇之爐、自摶麵至發酵、暫止撥火、

猶大曾行詭詐、在以色列與耶路撒冷中、有行可憎之事、蓋猶大侮耶和華所悅之聖潔、娶事異神之女、

彼爽約若他人、而欺罔我、

淫亂者乎、爾豈不知友於世、乃敵上帝乎、凡欲為世之友者、自為上帝敵也、

禍哉我也、我如夏果已收、如採葡萄所遺、無穗可食、我心所慕初熟之無花果、亦無有也、虔敬者亡於斯土、正直者泯於人間、皆伏伺以流血、各張網羅、以獵昆弟、厥手惟惡是營、而亟行之、牧伯徇情、士師貪賄、大人言其中心之惡欲、共同組織之、其至善者、等於荊榛、其至正者、劣於棘籬、爾守望者所宣懲罰之日、今已至矣、爾必驚擾、勿信鄰里、勿恃友朋、對爾懷中之婦、亦守爾口、蓋子藐其父、女敵其母、媳敵其姑、人之仇讐、即其家人也、○若我、則必瞻望耶和華、俟救我之上帝、我上帝必聽我、

我則曰、惟願有翼如鳩、飛去而得安居兮、我必遠遊、棲於曠野、速詣避所、脫於烈風暴雨兮、

烝父繼室、辱因天癸而污之婦、有行可憎於鄰妻、有穢亂子婦、有玷辱異母之姊妹、
